John Shepherd, Principal of Shepherd Consulting Services, also serves as the Director of Education for the Building Envelope Institute (BEI).  The Building Envelope Institute's primary function is to develop roofing, waterproofing, & exterior wall continuing education programs for the construction industry professionals (consultants, architects, engineers, insurance adjusters, attorneys, developers, and contractors).

Building Envelope Institute also has a slate of programs offered for the roofing waterproofing industry including a two-day program that provides the following credits (14 AIA LU's, 12.0 HSW, and 14 RCI CEU's).
